The Bra Lounge was back with their Favourite Things Fashion Show in November, the 6th fundraising fashion show event they have held in 11 years, back at Cilantro and Chive for a second year! Fundraising totals are in, and they are worthy of a HECKYEAH!

$7413.24, exceeding last year’s proceeds by over $1000 – UNBELEIVABLE! Once again, The Bra Lounge in partnership with Cilantro and Chive created a night to remember on November 7th, celebrating women of all shapes and sizes, promoting positive body image, all in support of Dress for Success Central Alberta and the important work they do in our community to support and empower women to thrive in work and life.

Sheena Johnson from The Bra Lounge notes they are passionate about this event and the work they do in store every day “when we decided to have a small business, one of the most fulfilling things we could imagine was having exciting events that showcased our products while also supporting important causes in our community. Supporting women is very literally a thing we do everyday, so we are mindful of partnering with and supporting causes that align beautifully with our mission. Dress for Success Central Alberta is certainly that cause for us!”

Dress for Success Executive Director Erin Forbes notes donations like this one ensure they can continue to offer a wide range of programs to support women striving for economic empowerment and financial independence “Dress for Success Central Alberta will help 400 local women in 2024 (a 330% increase in client service since 2022) through our leadership, career services, community outreach and dressing programs. We couldn’t serve our community without the ongoing support from local businesses like The Bra Lounge and Cilantro and Chive.”

Sheena and Cortney were thrilled to turn over a cheque for $7413.24 to Dress for Success Central Alberta today (Tuesday, February 20th).
